No plans for this specific weekend. It's hot and humid here; I can barely stand being outside for five minutes. I almost feel like a fish myself.
I have picked up Ulysses in the library and have been trying to read it, but it almost feels like I need a short course on 20th century Ireland first before I can understand any of it. So I'll probably spend the weekend researching the annotations to Ulysses)

yep, two courses to write, two disciplines to prepare for seminars aaaand quite alot of management stuff to do
if you don't have photos, what is the most wholesome memory from your trip then?

It's... weird. Like, absolutely everything about this book is weird: the characters, the vocabulary, the constant switch of POV, and even grammar. But it is intriguing.

Why? Were they time-limited?

All the plants I've ever had have died on me. I could never remember to water them in time, even cacti

Day four part two. I was not satisfied with a test stripes to check the water quality so I bought a test kit full of actual chemicals. It has tubes, it has reagents, it has instructions on what to mix and how to mix it. I am a fish chemist now!
It was worth it though because I was somewhat worried about one parameter, and the test stripes were very inconsistent about it. The reagents have shown that the level is actually lower than what the test stripes can catch. Good. It's still not ideal, but pretty good and absolutely normal for a new tank.
