I think so! I have a fixation on my fandom right now, so I actually have several ideas playing out in my head for my own amusement every single day 
The one I'm willing to share and expand is the one about Riker's captaincy. It's canon and it was never shown except for animated Star Trek show Lower Decks. In canon Will went off onto his own ship named Titan as captain, with his wife, and during his tour he had fathered two children, one of which is a smartest lovely boy named Thadeus. That boy has a very tragic story in canon, as well as my other fav character Data.They both died years apart and actually Thadeus's death is connected to Data's demise in a long run. And that's what I'm going to fix! I've actually started that storyline but in Russian, so I guess I will have to edit it a little and add more details and rewrite it in English form the start to make a proper fanfiction xd
