Well... it was time to get a grip and translate the text for Casanova. I can, I’m strong.
But not that there is worse than in STALKER in this regard
well, after-Blast rain in STALKER feels May-esque ('cept for a blinding flash of psyonic energy covering much of the northern sky)
but I'm also a sucker for pouring rain, like, being under one, so maybe it's just me who's weirdo
anyway, it's enough of STALKER for today, and maybe even entire week. I went pretty far into second plotline during Saturday, died, and it seems that this effort took most of my capacity to actually play the game. so I'll get back to reading Chernyshevsky

What do you read from Chernyshevsky, if it’s not a secret? What do you like about his works? This is another writer that I haven't yet studied.
Coffee table knight, I barely began reading, to be honest. I'm finishing his Capital and Labor essay. I have a second volume of his works on my hands, borrowed it from my friends, and by the contents it seems that there's a little bit of everything that he was interested in: economics, philosophy, history, sociology. Y'know, all the good stuff.
Right now I'm enjoying Capital and Labor, first of all from the style perspective. Chernyshevsky possesses a sublimely refined writing style, something that before him I have seen only in Pisarev's writing. On the merits of actual economics and sociology, he's on point in leaving no stone unturned on libertarian economists and pro-slavery advocates of ol' Imperial Russia. I cannot tell, though, whether his certain passages coming from a bit of naivete, or they're demanded by the restraints of imperial censorship (the text is from 1859, after all), but I do see why Chernyshevsky is considered a kind of "Russian Marx"

You’re quite the storyteller, my friend. Now I sincerely wanted to read Chernyshevsky.
What are you all doing to me? Please don’t stop

How did you come from dick jokes to literature analysis so fast?
Coffee table knight, I'm alpha-testing on you certain suspicions o' mine
I think I'm going to break Chernyshevsky later into notes for my own usage, because his works seem to be an excellent entry point into political economy. Since I'm doomed to the career of teaching economics, I'm planning on making that other people's problem
(y'know, "i'm not locked in here with you, you're locked in here with me" type of thing)
Also, if going back into old publicists, you really should also check out Pisarev's review of Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment. In my not humble opinion, that review is the only way to read the novel, like, don't bother with the source at all.

Because high-brow stuff and brainrot exist in the same brains
Call that dick-Dickens monism
(I'm not sorry)

Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment
/screech/
We talked about Dostoyevsky yesterday with Lucifer.
I read the source book that got me depressed, and now I’m watching a British movie starring John Simm. This is really inspiring to me as opposed to the book. I would love to read Pisarev.

I love it! I’m about to burst into tears of delight. I'm serious.
How sad that the only conversation I can keep up with is actually dick jokes xD am I even a humanitarian, if I don't like to read classics or whatever is popular?
The Herald
I think humanitarians are the mindset. For example, I’m a humanitarian because I have no programming ability... None at all. I’m not good with formulas, but good with concepts, good with emotions and human relationships...
*woke up for sure now, about time*
oh, we've got a new blood here
He flicked his gaze from N to X repeatedly - если он это делает с завидной регулярностью, сидит и смотрит с одного на другого и обратно
ну например
Faded Star, you’re my savior! Thank you so much! I’ve been fighting for 20 minutes.

You're welcome, translation is no easy effort.

"beholder switched its gaze between apples and onions"?
well, I guess that's if the action is continuous
and for the single act, maybe like "gazed from apples to onions and back"?
I dunno
"beholder switched its gaze between apples and onions"?
yeah, "between N and X" is also a good way to translate that.

And thank you so much too! Now I have a few options!
Good morning, my fellow almost human beings *yawn*

Relax, we are no Flesh Tearers and we can handle some jokes... Why do you think I wear laurel wreath? Just in case we need a leaf for the soup.

I know that I owe you a PM with more details on the plot. I'll write it from work in about three hours if you don't mind
42, sure! Take your time, I'll be there anyway

aw look at you, sweet thingAll that remains is to get some sons who can joke too, because the current ones are devoid of humour whatsoever
I also found what I needed in a Harry Potter book. Quite by accident, after I started adjusting your options to my text. Ahahahaha.

Oh and what was the passage?
Oh and what was the passage?
"Wood was looking from Harry to the Weasleys".
I converted it to "He was gazing from wizard to the Mooncalfs"
