Every episode makes me yell about something. Last time I was screaming about whale. Wtf?? Why? Why??
I love watching Frenchie and hate A-Train.
This show makes me invigorates.

And what do you think about that?

The first episode is a little boring, I think, and then it’s more chipper. It’s very interesting to know your impressions.

I have certain suspicions about state of the show in s4, but I only seen episodes 1 to 4 so far, and I wait to pirate second half of the season
But middle of s2 is still the Boys at its prime, I'd wager
Oh, I finally put the feeling into words, so:

The Boys is about spectacle, and spectacle it delivers in spades. The show lacks in the narrative department, I'd say, but I also will immediately acknowledge that this is a primordial sin of every successful show: narrative coherence requires an end goal in mind, and who would kill a goose that lay golden egg?

Take House of Cards for example. My take is that the show ended in the second season, but it still had three more seasons after that with Kevin Spacey, and after Spacey got cancelled, had another season to wrap things up. It's still a pretty show, it is produced well, it is entertainable. But as far as story goes, there are just four seasons of footing around, and cannibalizing itself. And I'm afraid that by s4, The Boys are firmly in this territory, because they couldn't stop at season three, when the bells were a-ringing.

I agree with you here, I am also against endless aimless narrative and «Deus ex machina». While I am interested, I will watch it, but I have a feeling that I may get bored, for the reasons you mentioned.

I’m tired of watching Doctor Who with 11th. I guess Doctor Who already says everything on the 9th and 10th.

Okay, not everything... there are a couple of entertaining moments in the Eleventh season, but overall...

Coffee table knight, I will be finishing s4 just to savor how screenwriter squrim. I bet that they don't have balls to kill neither Homelander, nor Butcher, nor Newman, and without that, there can be no development, only eternal shitshow, and I'm here for it https://i.imgur.com/jU96Ej7.gif

Don't get me wrong, s4 still has spectacle going on for it, but its appeal is dwindling. We have first three seasons to adjust our expectations, and it's pretty hard to top s3 in terms of spectacle, unless you have balls to kill major characters.

I couldn't even stomach Ninth Doctor, and the thought that the entire show is like 40 seasons long is just beyond me

... though I did sat thru original run of Gossip Girl, which is arguably first season, plus five narrative repeats of it to the letter, so I guess to each his own chow
(but I will die on the anthill that Dan x Blair is the endgame that we deserved, but never got)

By the way, for some reason I don't want them to be killed. I wonder how these people change. But I can imagine that it will hinder the progress of the plot.

I understand.

And... God save the fan fiction and the role-playing, where we can totally party!

Coffee table knight, okay, this is minor spoilers territory, but I say that they must die, because third's season narrative put itself into such position, that pieces must be sacrificed. There's only so much progress in characters before everything turns into a parody of itself

Love for Doctor Who appears suddenly, at the right time and the right hour. Try to start with Tenth. https://forumupload.ru/uploads/0019/a4/9b/6/947015.png

I sincerely apologize. I was planning to write the post today, but all of a sudden yesterday I decided that it would be a great idea for the Canada Day to go fir the whole day to a park, and only then I recalled how much things I had to do at home. I'll try to get my shit together on Tuesday)
